How class works –
1. START OF CLASS:
Be in class, in your seat, on time and starting your flower.
2. HOMEWORK:
Homework should be completed as expected. Homework calendars will be handed out at the
beginning of each month.
3. LISTENING:
Follow directions the FIRST time
when given by a teacher. Listen to the
directions the first time. Keep quiet while directions are being given to the
class. Get started on your work immediately!
4. WORK WITHOUT DISTURBING OTHERS
(1)
Sit in your assigned seat.
(2)
Stay in your seat. Unless you are sick, leave immediately.
(3) Make sure you raise your hand.
5. WATER: You may bring
a bottle of water and leave it on your desk.
6. VOICE: Maintain an
inside working voice and use appropriate language: words, tone, and
volume. Refrain from name calling or put
downs.
7. RESPECT: Always show respect for everything and
everyone in the class.
8.
FOOD:
Keep food out of the classroom. Gum is allowed.
9.
DISMISSAL: The bell does not dismiss the class—the
teacher does. Wait at your seat to be
dismissed. Be silent during all
announcements.
Extras –
Homework: The homework is watching videos and answering
questions. Students will need to follow
the homework calendar. Working ahead is
allowed!
Labs: Students must have a LAB SAFETY CONTRACT completed and
signed to complete any labs. Student behavior determines lab access.
Quizzes/Tests: Students may retake any test or quiz for a
better grade. It is up to the students to talk to the teacher to find a time
and place to retake.
Extra Credit: Students may complete remediation following a
test to receive extra credit.
Absences: If a student is absent, it is their responsibility
to make up their missing work within the school policy. The student needs to pick up any missing
assignment from their designated class folder.
Movies: Throughout the school year, students may watch short
clips or videos that pertain to the information in class from a variety of
sources, such as, but not limited to YouTube, United Streaming, TeacherTube,
etc.
Nameless Papers: All
papers turned in are always kept in the classroom. If you are missing an assignment, check the
NO NAME bin of papers.
